What is an ethical dilemma? How do you go about navigating them?

An employee on your team asks for a raise. They say they’re going through a tough time and need more money. Otherwise, they’ll have to look for a job with better pay.You sympathize, but the company isn’t in a position to increase wages. What’s more, giving one employee a raise could be seen as special treatment. Still, this employee’s work is outstanding, and you really can’t afford to train someone else to take over their role right now.  When faced with dilemmas, how do you know what course of action to take? It’s not an easy decision to make, and there’s no right or wrong answer.
